Surgery is a modality of treatment in cancer care usually performed to remove cancer cells and other cancer-related symptoms. Whether a patient requires surgery or not, depends on the type, size, location, grade and stage of the tumor, and other general health factors such as age, physical fitness, and other medical conditions. In many cases, surgery is combined with other cancer treatments such as Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy or Hormone Therapy. These may be given before surgery (Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy) or after surgery (Adjuvant Chemotherapy) to help prevent cancer growth, spread or recurrence. Our Surgical Oncologist team provides a number of treatment options like anal cancer, breast cancer, liver tumor, gastric cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc.
